Studio Manager

Slotmill is looking for a Studio Manager to join our team in Stockholm. As Studio Manager you will be responsible to oversee and manage the daily operations, workflow, and resources of the Slotmill game studio(s) to ensure that projects are delivered efficiently, on time, and within budget. You will be reporting to the CEO and the overall objective is to ensure that the short- and long-term and needs of the organization are met in order to reach the company’s overall business objectives. You are part of the management team and hold the aggregate responsibility for the employees of the studio(s).

Responsibilities:

• Project Management & Resource Planning: Coordinate and plan the studio calendar, assigning staff (designers, programmers) to projects based on capacity and skills. Internal coordination and close cooperation with product management, math team, sound technician, marketing and test department. Conduct project post-mortems/retrospectives after each development project.
• Operations & Workflow: Manage day-to-day operations, implementing/adjusting processes for smooth project lifecycles from briefing to final delivery.
• Certifications: plan and order certification of games for new and existing markets.
• Translations: plan and order translations for games to cater for new and existing markets.
• Financial Administration: Setting, maintaining and evaluating a cost budget, purchase orders (POs) and expense tracking.
• Staff Management; Ensuring sufficient and adequate resources and utilization incl. allocation thereof. Supervise, mentor and support creative professionals and programmers, including hiring and managing freelancers. Monitor and address team training requirements. Annual appraisals and salary negotiations. Ensuring a healthy and positive work environment and nourishing the company culture.
• Reporting to regulatory bodies as required

As Studio Manager you will be expected to participate in regular management meetings and deliver monthly reports.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience from a similar role
• Experience from working in customer centric roles
• Organized and used to delivering according to set project timelines
• Solution-oriented, pragmatic, innovative, and creative in your approach
• Goal-oriented and quality-focused
• Proficient with MS Office and project mgmt systems
• Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills
• Fluent in English
• Based in Stockholm
